Applied Computing & Engineering Ltd (ac&e) has moved headquarters to a purpose-designed suite at Vanguard House on the trail-blazing Sci-Tech Daresbury campus in Cheshire.

The new location provides ac&e with the highest quality facilities and environment, enabling it to further enhance its offering to clients worldwide.

These are exciting times for the company, who are pioneers in design and manufacturing simulation and technical computing.  For the last four of its 25 successful years it has been based at the Innovation Centre on the Sci-Tech Daresbury site, where it further established its impressive client list including Formula 1, Airbus and Nissan.

Re-locating to a larger, dedicated facility on the campus enhances the ac&e offering to customers, helping to deliver bespoke solutions for modelling and simulation in design and manufacture. It also consolidates ac&e’s technical computing capability at the heart of the campus’ world-leading high performance and super-computing community.

The new facility provides office, workshop, server and meeting space, with access to the wider campus and its R&D, conference, leisure and catering facilities.  And being close to the region’s airports and motorways offers easy access to ac&e’s UK and international client base.

Sci-Tech Daresbury also provides ac&e with the advantages of being in one of the country’s most innovative Enterprise Zones with its state-of-the-art infrastructure and knowledge base.

John Baxter, Director, IT Services at ac&e said:

“We are delighted with the move to Vanguard House and look forward to this being a major step forward for ac&e and its clients. The new facility enables us to design our working processes around client requirements, bringing greater efficiencies and added value.”

John Leake, Business Development Manager, Sci-Tech Daresbury replied: “It’s been exciting to see the high calibre of companies relocating to the site’s flagship Enterprise Zone development at Vanguard House and we are delighted to welcome ac&e.

“We’re witnessing significant interest from both foreign and domestic firms keen to relocate to Sci-Tech Daresbury. However it’s especially encouraging for us to see campus companies like ac&e upsizing to new premises on site due to the levels of growth and success which they have experienced. This is testament to the success of the innovative, collaborative working environment at the site, which allows companies to thrive and grow.”
