Aerospace Design Engineers
Applied Computing & Engineering Limited, a multi-national, global engineering services company in the aerospace, automotive, nuclear, and other industries, requires design engineers with domain and CAD/CAE tools experience. You must have relevant experience in a professional environment gained in the aerospace industry, extensive application of CATIA V4, V5 and/or Unigraphics CAD systems to produce detailed design 3D solid models and 2D fully associative manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of PDM data management tools desirable.
- Aircraft structure and aero engine design
- Systems installation design
- Produce detailed design 3D solid models (CATIA V4/V5 or Unigraphics)
- Produce 2D fully associative manufacturing drawings
- Produce assembly/interface drawings
- Produce Bill of Materials (BOW) in the PDM environment
- Work within and store data in the PDM data management environment
- Ensure that engineering intent and manufacturing is captured in the detailed design and product definition
- Carry out supporting calculations relating to designs
- Attend design assessments/reviews
- Experience of composites is preferred but not essential
- Relevant experience in the aerospace industry (minimum of two years)
- Good communications skills
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Salary: £22,000 to £28,000
Location: West Country and North West England
